This solid oak bureau was designed and handmade for a lady in Stockport, Manchester. The design features a large cabinet with fold down desk, a pair of file cabinets, and a bank of three drawers. When folded down, the desk flap reveals a home office, complete with in/out nooks, a shelf for your computer screen and phone, and cable holes to tidy up your electronics.

An interesting feature of the piece is that the grain of each cabinet door is set at 45 degrees. It gives the piece a contemporary aesthetic, and this is reinforced by the machined pull-handle details of the drawers and desk flap. The varying depths of the three components of the design also help to make this less of a home-office and more a statement piece of bespoke furniture design.
